Install the extension
One click from the Chrome Web Store. Works on any Chromium browser: Chrome, Arc, Edge, and Brave.

Sign in and connect Basecamp
Open app.getassistant.io and sign in. You'll authorize the Basecamp account you want to connect through Basecamp's own OAuth, so we never see your password. Only Basecamp admins can connect an account. If you're not one, ask your admin to connect first, then just sign in.

There's nothing to assign. Once an admin has connected, anyone in that Basecamp account installs the extension and signs in, and access is automatic. No seats, no invites, no access requests.

Common questions.
Does this replace Basecamp?
No. Assistant runs inside Basecamp and adds a layer of tags, statuses, fields, and views on top. Your projects, to-dos, and messages stay exactly where they are.
Does everyone on my team need to pay?
No. One Basecamp admin connects the account and pays. Everyone else in that Basecamp account gets access automatically. They only need to install the extension in their own browser.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. 7 days, no credit card, full access for your whole team. After the trial, one admin subscribes for $29/month (or $290/year) and everyone keeps access.
What data do you store?
Tags, statuses, custom field values, automations, the OAuth tokens needed to reach the Basecamp API, and the transcripts of voice notes you choose to transcribe. We never store your project content: messages, to-dos, files, and voice note audio stay in Basecamp.
Do teammates who don't install it see anything different?
No. The extension adds its UI to Basecamp pages in your own browser. Anyone without it sees Basecamp exactly as before.
Can I revoke access?
Any time, in one click, from Basecamp's own account settings. You connect through Basecamp's official OAuth, so you stay in control of the connection.
