Billing

How pricing works

Assistant is one flat price for your whole team: $29/month or $290/year (about two months free). It covers unlimited seats and every feature, no add-ons or tiers. See the pricing page for details.

One admin connects the Basecamp account and pays. After that, everyone in that Basecamp account gets the extension automatically — there are no per-seat charges, seat assignments, or access requests.

Free trial

Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with all features unlocked. No credit card required to start. You can set up billing at any point during or after the trial.

After the trial ends without a subscription, your account enters a 10-day grace period (still full access). After that, paid features lock and members see a billing prompt — but all your data stays intact, and an admin can reactivate by subscribing.

Who pays?

One Basecamp admin per connected account subscribes. Admins:

• Always have access, even if the subscription lapses, so they can update billing.
• Choose monthly or yearly on Settings → Billing.

Everyone else in that Basecamp account is covered automatically — nothing for them to buy or request.

Adding your team

There’s nothing to assign. Once an admin has subscribed (or is in the trial), any member of that Basecamp account just:

1. Installs the Chrome extension.
2. Signs in with their Basecamp account.
3. Sees the new UI light up inside Basecamp.

Switching monthly ↔ yearly

Change your plan on Settings → Billing. Switching to yearly bills the annual amount and applies a proration for the current period; switching to monthly takes effect on your next renewal.

Cancelling

Open Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current period, and your data stays intact.
